Inline Warrant is a type of structured product that has been introduced by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) and issuers since 2019. It entitles the investors to receive a predetermined fixed payment at expiry. There is no knockout barrier for its upper and lower strikes, and its maximum upside and downside is known at the time of investment. It creates a possibility to make profits in a sideway or flat market. On the other hand, there will also be some potential missed opportunities involved as profit potential is capped by the pre-determined payment.
